Este curso, con motivo de la implantación del modelo bilingüe en Educación Infantil, hemos apostado por la introducción de una metodología para el aprendizaje de la lectoescritura en inglés que suavizará y facilitará la transición a Educación Primaria.
Se ha aumentado el número de sesiones semanales de inglés en todos los niveles de Infantil, esto permite dedicar más tiempo a la aplicación del programa Jolly Phonics, el más utilizado en Reino Unido, que asegura un buen nivel en todas las destrezas comunicativas.
Se trata de un programa fonético-sintético que permite la interiorización de los 44 fonemas de la lengua inglesa gracias a una metodología activa y lúdica que creemos va a gustar mucho a vuestros hijos e hijas. A través de historias, pequeñas canciones y rimas, así como una serie de gestos asociados a cada fonema, los niños identifican cada letra con el sonido correspondiente.
Este mes, los profesores de Educación Infantil y Primaria han participado en una formación muy interesante sobre este programa ofrecido por Beki Wilson. Estamos deseando comenzar para que veáis lo rápido que avanzan.
A lo largo de este trimestre, os ofreceremos información más detallada a las familias de Educación Infantil sobre el programa así como materiales complementarios que podéis utilizar en casa.
This year, due to the introduction of the bilingual model for Pre-Primary education, we have backed the introduction of a new methodology for the English literacy learning aiming to smooth and ease the transition to Primary.
The weekly number of English sessions has been increased for all the Pre-Primary levels. This allows a better time management for the Jolly Phonics programme,-the most employed in the United Kingdom-, which ensures a satisfactory level in all of the communication skills.
It uses the synthetic phonics method that allows internalising the 44 main sounds thanks to an active and funny methodology, which we believe your children will like a lot. Through stories, little songs and rhymes, as long as with a number of gestures associated to each of them, children identify each letter with the corresponding sound.
This month, our school teachers have taken part on a very interesting training about this programme given by Beki Wilson. We are willing to start so that you can see how fast they progress.
We will offer Pre-Primary families more detailed information about the programme, as long as complementary materials which you can use at home.
